Veronica Kao has been playing the flute for over a decade and has performed on flute and piccolo in various chamber ensembles, orchestras, and musical theatre pit bands, most notably the Berkshire Symphony Orchestra and at the I/O New Music Festival. She has maintained a vibrant and international performing life, studying flute and chamber performance in Vienna, Austria, learning from Carol Wincenc in Provence, France, and performing with an orchestral ensemble throughout Santa Marta, Colombia. In 2023 Kao organized performed a recital of music by Asian and Asian-American composers in order to dive deeper into this repertoire and to bring awareness to music outside of the Western Classical canon. She is currently studying with Sarah Brady at the Boston Conservatory.
